Brown Bag: The Protea String Quartet Meets Beethoven and Mozart Head On

The Protea String Quartet performs Beethoven's "Harp" Quartet (opus 74), along with Mozart’s Kochel 575. This Bellingham-based group whose sole purpose is to air great works from the classical repertoire AND to have fun doing it! Formed in 2009, Protea has performed at the Museum of Northwest Art in La Connor and in town at Allied Arts and the Lucia Douglas Gallery, where it offered local listeners the deuxieme live performance of Gustav Hoyer's 2004 work, "Macbeth." This event is sponsored by Village Books.
