FIG Public Listening Session
Thursday 29 April 2010, 06:00pm - 07:30pm

Public “Listening Session” for the FIG

Childcare provided

WHO: The public is invited to attend a forum to discuss the Family Interactive Gallery. Museum staff and exhibit designers will be on hand to answer questions in a moderated discussion aimed at understanding what’s working, what’s not and what families hope to experience at the FIG.

WHY: In its first six months of operation, the museum has been pleased to note generally positive responses from FIG visitors — including school groups, families holding birthday parties, participants in the quarterly Family Activity Days, high-school “career day” participants, local visitors and out-of-town guests. However, we are aware that some in the community are dissatisfied, particularly those who bring memories of the Children’s Museum to the FIG. This is a chance for people to share their concerns and ideas, as well as gain a better understanding of the goals for the Whatcom Museum and the Family Interactive Gallery.
