Create whimsical hollow sculptural forms using several basketry techniques. Using copper wire, students will make a small piece to hang or use as a “wearable sculpture.” Everyone will go home with a unique piece and wire to make more. Instructor Jeni Cottrell has been working with wire for almost 30 years and teaching wire work jewelry techniques since 1993. She always packs a lot of information and fun into her classes. Jeni shares a studio at Bay Street Village, is a member of the Bellingham Arts Commission and has been on the Big Rock Garden Park Sculpture Committee for almost 10 years. Ages 14 and up.
Registration: Bellingham Parks and Recreation Office at 3424 Meridian Street or by credit card over the phone at (360)778-7000 by June 21.
