Professional Development for Educators
Wednesday 18 August 2010, 08:30am - 04:30pm

Spicing Up Math, Science, and Language Arts with Art: Professional Development for Educators Co-sponsored by Northwest Educational Service District and the Whatcom Museum

Designed for the elementary classroom teacher, this course will provide creative ways to engage students in math, science, and writing. Examine art as discipline-specific by expanding art vocabulary and concepts and then apply multiple ways in which to infuse and integrate art with other content areas. Through hands on assignments, learn techniques and experiment with a variety of easy to access materials. Time will be allocated to review Art EALRs and the Washington Classroom-based Performance Assessments (CBPA) in Visual Art. Register online at www.nwesd.org/courses. Locate the class by using the keyword search with the word "art."

$355 registration fee + $65 for 30 clock hours OR $120 for 3 college credits + $35 materials fee
