WHERE IS THE FAMILY INTERACTIVE GALLERY (FIG)?
We are located at 250 Flora Street, Bellingham, Washington in the Whatcom Museum Lightcatcher building.

WHERE CAN I PARK? DO YOU HAVE FREE PARKING?
FIG visitors can park on the street in metered spaces.  Note:  Street parking is free on weekends.

CAN WE BRING STROLLERS INTO THE FIG? 
Stroller parking is available inside the Whatcom Museum just outside the FIG doors. 

DOES THE FIG OFFER FREE ADMISSION DAYS?
Yes, we do offer free days occasionally.  Free days are advertised in our calendar of events. 

ARE ART CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS OFFERED AT THE  FIG?                                                                                                                 
Yes, the FIG hosts the Toddler Art Exploration Workshop with Gabriel Miles and we occasionally offer special workshops such as Claymation or Kaleidoscope workshops.  Reasonable fees are charged for classes and workshops.  See our newsletter for upcoming classes or workshops.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED AGE FOR THE FIG? 
The FIG is designed to provide activities for children and families of all ages.  From our Toddler Exploration Zone (0 - 3 years of age) to our FIG Studio (3+ years), we have activities for the entire family.

WHAT CAN MY FAMILY DO AT THE FIG?
The FIG houses over 13 hands-on interactive stations and the FIG Studio (see FIG Studio Hours) where families can learn about art, nature, and history.  See our Current Activity Stations for more information.

WHAT ACTIVIITES DO YOU HAVE FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS? We offer early hours on Tuesday and Fridays (9am - 12pm) that fits with infant and toddler schedules.  You can enroll in our Toddler Art Exploration Workshop with Gabriel Miles

MAY I DROP MY CHILDREN OFF AT THE FIG WHILE I EXPLORE THE REST OF THE MUSEUM?  Adults must supervise their children of all ages at all times and are responsibile for their safety. 

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO LEARN ABOUT NEW PROGRAMS AND EVENTS?  The best way to learn about upcoming events and programs is by subscribing to the FIG E-News.  The E-News is different than the Whatcom Museum Newsletter in that it is published monthly by FIG Staff and sent directly to your email.  You can also look on the website for upcoming events. 

WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS AND ARE CHANGING TABLES AVAILABLE?
Our child-friendly restrooms are wheelchair accessibile and contain Koala Kare changing stations.

IS FOOD ALLOWED AT THE FIG?  Food is allowed in the FIG Studio only; however, covered drinks are allowed in the FIG Gallery (carpeted areas).  The FIG Studio has tables and chairs available for your use.  We ask that you please clean up when finished.
