THE FAMILY INTERACTIVE GALLERY (the FIG) is a must-do family attraction. Unlike typical children's museums, which tend to focus on role-playing, the purpose of the FIG is to provide a space where people of all ages and abilities can learn about art, nature, and history through creative expression, interactive play, and visual cues.

Grounded in the belief that hands-on activities help children learn, the FIG adds a new dimension to the museum experience by providing information and posing questions that promote creative thinking and observation skills as both parents and children learn to work together.

Join us in the FIG, where you will experience various themed activity areas or participate in one of our community projects designed to explore the relationship between art, nature and history. Then take your new insight with you as you explore the Lightcatcher Galleries.
