THE FAMILY INTERACTIVE GALLERY (FIG) is an interactive, hands-on museum space designed for children of all ages and their families.  By offering self-directed exploration, play and learning together, the FIG provides educational opportunities in many critical areas, including science, technology, art, innovation, problem-solving, early childhood literacy and social and cross-cultural experiences.

Plan Your Visit:
Spend the entire day, come for a special event/activity, or purchase a membership and come back as often as you like.  The FIG, located in the Lightcatcher Building of the Whatcom Museum, is a 4,681 square foot space that includes an art studio, over 15 different activity stations, and is host to several self-led activities and programs.  

Hours:
Wednedays through Saturday, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sundays, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Admission: (Includes Admission to Whatcom Museum)
Members:  Free
General:  $10
Students/Military (with valid ID)/Seniors (62+): $8
Children ages 2 - 5 years:  $4.50
Children under 2 years:  Free

FIG ONLY:  $4.50 per person Wednesday through Friday, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Thursday Discount:  $5 admission per person to the Whatcom Museum and FIG

Directions:
From I-5 North (Southbound)
Take Exit 254
Merge right on Ohio St.
Stay on Ohio until you reach Cornwall Ave.
Turn left at Cornwall Ave.
Turn right at Flora St.
250 Flora is on the right

From I-5 South (Northbound)
Take Exit 254
Turn left on Iowa St.
At James St. continue following the road as it merges left (stay in right hand lane)
Take right onto Ohio St.
Stay on Ohio until you reach Cornwall Ave.
Turn left at Cornwall Ave.
Turn right at Flora St.
250 Flora is on the right

Parking:
There is limited free parking at Old City Hall (121 Prospect St.) - a one block walk to the Lightcatcher Building.  Metered street parking is available up to two-hours on weekdays and parking is free on weekends.
