Description: Logging site, man in undercut, men w/axes & saws. Text: "Felling a fir tree 51 feet in circumference, measured four feet from the ground. From the undercut to the ground is ten feet indicating early-day logging extravagance. 1906." Felling a fir tree 51 feet in circumference, measured four feet from the ground. From the undercut to the ground is 10 feet. Three men, two standing on springboards. Man at left of image has saw below him and leaning against the tree. Man at right holds axe embedded in tree trunk. The third man lies comfortably in the undercut. Envelope has notation: *A14. (1978.0084.006697)
