AS A MAJOR RESOURCE for teachers and students, the Whatcom Museum provides  school presentations to thousands of students annually. We offer interactive tours of both temporary and permanent exhibitions led by staff and trained docents, as well as art or history-based workshops for children, and professional development classes for educators.

While many of our programs target a specific age range or curriculum unit, most  can be arranged and reconfigured for any grade level, from pre-school through high school and college. We encourage teachers to preview exhibitions and let us know your specific education needs. Teachers may choose self-guided tours as well.

Whatcom Museum education programs are aligned with local district curriculum and the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements. Unless otherwise noted, the cost is $3 per student or $1.50 per student for Title 1 schools. Teachers and chaperones are free. Please let us know if you need help covering costs.
