The Stations

THE FIG STATIONS are designed as a semi-permanent, arts-based framework to accommodate changing elements and programming that extends the experience through activities, new challenges, and transformations to the stations. Ggrounded in theories of “multiple intelligence learning,” especially learning through movement, creation, and interacting in a group setting, the stations invite investigation not only with your eyes, but also with other senses. These stations are just the beginning of the FIG experience, which also includes storytelling, art projects, role play and many other exhibition-related and other activities.

ILLUMINATION STATION

STOP PICTURE
A mini-theater set (doll house/tree house) comes to life with an animation sequencing of frames. Visitors create  diorama rooms and scenes, choosing from a variety of props. They can also take a picture frame each time they change the room setting and then play back the images to make their animation.
