Audubon Society: Washington’s White Birds of Winter

January 24 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Four snow geese flying in a blue sky

Join the North Cascades Audubon Society for their monthly program, which is returning in-person to the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall. Martha Jordan, well-known swan biologist, will present a program on the changing landscape our swans and snow geese face in migration and on their wintering grounds. Their life history, biology, and what influences their distribution across our state and the flyway. She will shed some light on the problems and controversies these birds face on their wintering grounds and what is needed to ensure their future. She will provide updates on E. Washington swans and how Washington’s west and east sides are connected for swans. This is vital to the welfare of swans and all water birds. Snow geese photo by Gerald Plowman.
