Clay Creatures Come Alive – SOLD OUT

October 3 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

- $20 – $25
Owl made of clay

In the spirit of the astounding ceramic creatures featured in El Zodíaco Familiar, we invite kids to discover how to bring this amazing material to life. In this kid-friendly workshop, ceramic artist and owner of Good Earth Pottery Ann Marie Cooper will introduce clay hand-building techniques. After getting a feel for the material, students will have the opportunity to bring a creature from their imagination into reality. Designed as an introductory-level workshop for children ages 7 – 12. Registration is limited to 12 students.

$20 members/$25 non-member

Instructors and all participants will be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. The Museum will be following COVID safety protocols.

The Whatcom Museum acknowledges that we gather on the traditional territory of the Lhaq’temish – Lummi People – and the Nuxwsá7aq – Nooksack People – who have lived in the Coast Salish region from time immemorial. The Museum honors our relationship with all of our Coast Salish neighbors and our shared responsibilities to their homeland where we all reside today.
