The Whatcom Museum is excited to re-introduce Family Activity Day this fall with a Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead celebration. Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican holiday going back to time immemorial that honors deceased ancestors while celebrating their lives. Our festivities will include paper marigolds, paper banners, face painting, rock skull decorating, a community offering table, and more!
Catch dance performances by Rumba Northwest from 1:30-2:30pm. Juanita’s Mexican food will be available for purchase in the Lightcatcher building courtyard from 11am-3pm.
All ages and family types are welcome to participate! We hope to see you there in celebration of this Mexican cultural holiday!
$3 general admission/members free
