Treat yourself to this immersive Floral Still Life painting experience at The Lightcatcher with artist Trish Harding. Begin the day with a quick tour of Verdant: French Masterworks from the National Gallery of Art. After studying and discussing the three French masterworks on view, journey to the art studio for preparatory charcoal drawing exercises. Trish will demonstrate the beginnings of a painting to get you off to a great start. Then the rest is up to you! Trish will provide easel-to-easel guidance which will result in personal success for all painters no matter the skill level. The workshop will end with a heartfelt critique.
This workshop is open to artists working with both oil and acrylic paint. We suggest you have some familiarity with your medium.
Please note, you must purchase and provide all the art supplies on the list provided for the workshop. A cell phone camera will suffice, and the museum will have a camera that can be borrowed for the workshop.
