Museum Advocates: Tattoos and Piercings in the Mainstream: A Talk with Old School Tattoo

Join the Museum Advocates for a presentation by local tattoo artist Paul Foertsch, who works at Old School Tattoo in downtown Bellingham. Paul will talk about the artistry and current trends behind modern tattoos and piercings, and he will share images of some of his work.

11:30am meeting, noon program

Artist bio: Paul Foertsch, originally from Colorado, began his career as a tattooist in Bellingham in 1999. Over the years, his style of tattooing has gravitated toward detail and realism, photo replication, black and grey portraits, animals and pin-ups. Paul has been working at Old School Tattoo since 2002 and became the owner in 2013. Paul and his wife, Jenny, have three sons. While not at the shop or spending with his family, Paul enjoys painting, ping-pong, and skiing.
