- Included with admission/members free

Jan. 15: Haudenosaunee Longhouses
The Haudenosaunee means “people who build a house” and is made up of six Native American nations who formed an alliance in the southern Great Lakes area. Their midwinter celebrations are often held in longhouses, which are similar (or different) to cedar longhouses of the Coast Salish people. Children will learn more about the indigenous history of the Six Nations and use simple engineering skills to build a longhouse.
