An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until May 4, 2020
In support of the effort to control and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Whatcom Museum has closed to the public through May 4 or until further notice. As a public gathering space, we are taking preventative action to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus to ensure the safety of our community. Many of our events will be postponed or rescheduled. ARTstarts encourages budding artists to explore a variety of art materials and mediums. Little hands will discover and play with art styles from assemblage to watercolor and everything in between. April 30 & May 2: Puffy Cloud Paint Nothing beats looking at puffy clouds on a sunny day. We’ll make a special puffy paint to create fluffy multi-dimensional clouds.

Canceled – FIG Studio: Weather Wheels

A self-guided, self-exploratory play-to-learn, make-and-take space for young inquisitive minds to imagine, create, and innovate. April 29 – May 3: Weather Wheels What’s the weather today? This moveable art project will allow kids to learn about weather while coloring and assembling a weather wheel.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Whatcom Museum campus and our programs were closed and canceled beginning March 16th to reduce the spread of the virus and keep our community healthy. Virtual Low Sensory Sunday
The Whatcom Museum’s Low Sensory Sundays are designed for children ages 12 and younger with autism spectrum and other sensory-processing disorders. In place of an in-person Low Sensory Sunday, the Museum will offer a low-sensory Digital Kit via email, or a Material Kit (limited quantities available) for pick up at the Museum.
