In support of the effort to control and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Whatcom Museum has closed to the public through May 4 or until further notice. As a public gathering space, we are taking preventative action to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus to ensure the safety of our community. ARTstarts encourages budding artists to explore a variety of art materials and mediums. Little hands will discover and play with art styles from assemblage to watercolor and everything in between. April 30 & May 2: Puffy Cloud Paint Nothing beats looking at puffy clouds on a sunny day. We’ll make a special puffy paint to create fluffy multi-dimensional clouds.

Join us May 5 & 6 for the #GivingTuesdayNow and #GiveBIGWA fundraising campaigns and help fund essential programs, supplies, and staff for our beloved FIG. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Whatcom Museum campus and our programs were closed and canceled beginning March 16th to reduce the spread of the virus and keep our community healthy. In place of an in-person Low Sensory Sunday, the Museum will offer a low-sensory Digital Kit via email, or a Material Kit (limited quantities available) for pick up at the Museum.
