This year, our annual gala celebrates the bold spirit and enduring influence of French modernist visionaries. Today, their work is easily recognizable and celebrated, but in mid-1800s France, it pushed boundaries, challenged the status quo, and was even labeled ‘degenerate’ by some. We honor their lasting call to action and commitment to make art – in all its forms and themes – accessible to our community.
Join us for a special evening of inspired experiences, cuisine, and immersive artistry that honors the revolutionary vision of the once-rejected (but now beloved) artists from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements while supporting the Whatcom Museum’s work and mission. Tickets and online auction bidding available soon.

The Whatcom Museum acknowledges that we gather on the traditional territory of the Lhaq’temish – Lummi People – and the Nuxwsá7aq – Nooksack People – who have lived in the Coast Salish region from time immemorial. The Museum honors our relationship with all of our Coast Salish neighbors and our shared responsibilities to their homeland where we all reside today.
